What are some similar strategy computer games like Command & Conquer?
I am looking for computer games that are similar in gameplay to the C%26amp;C series. I played C %26amp; C 3 Tiberium Wars and really liked it.What are some similar strategy computer games like Command %26amp; Conquer?

I want to install computer games on my laptop, which doesn't have a CD drive, via an external CD drive.
Do I need the external CD drive with the game CD inside hooked up to my laptop if I want to play, or is there a way to copy the contents into, say, a memory card, and just insert that into the slot?
Or would it be better to copy the CD contents into a memory card and install it from there?

I have an EMACHINES computer and I have never had any problems transferring my pictures from my HP Photosmart M525 digital camera using a USB cord until today. Someone told me my computer might not have enough rams because of too many computer games being downloaded. First re-install the driver and software for your digital camera, if this doesn't work then uninstall all the USB ports from Device Manager and reboot the computer. Windows will re-install new drivwers for the USB ports. This should fix the problem

Can violence in computer games influence violent behavior?
For my BTEC in games development, i have an assignment to complete on whether violent computer games can affect someones behavior.
So what are your opinions? Do you think prolonged exposure to violence in computer games can alter someones behavior, particularly at a younger age? And do you think that nowadays it is too easy for someone under 18 to get hold of and play a game that has an age certificate of 18? Yes definately. My little brother started video games 4 years ago (not violent at all. Just the plain Frogger, Zelda, etc.) and we started noticing change in his behavior. Not too bad but once he started going to the "T-rated" games we started noticing issues in his behavior. It literally started having heated arguments everyday. Then we just had to detox him of video games for the rest of the year and we still wont' let him have it. We tried giving it to him 3 times and he just reverted to his own ways. I bought 200 dollars worth of computer upgrade, but it turns out I need an extra 150 dollars to install these things (i.e. geek squad) How do you play the next generation games without hurting your dang wallet for your computer.How do you play HD computer games without spending more than 150$?

When using the right, left, up, and down arrows during computer games, my screen goes up and down when using those arrows, thus, causing me to loose sight of the game I'm playing. To create an Iso just set it to burn to your hard drive which will just rip. Then just copy the files over to your comp. After that you need to download a virtual drive program. Go to your task bar on the bottom right hand corner and right click on the icon. Go to where it says virtual devices then hover over the device that is open and click mount. Sometimes, it could be that he may accommodate you, or he may suggest his own guidelines such as he will not play when you are visiting or whatnot. Other times, it may turn out that it's the moment for you to internally reflect on why this habit of his necessarily bothers you and if you too might have habits that bother him.
So a couple of things:
1. don't expect him to change
2. when you tell him your thoughts, you want to allow for open endedness and not go with a pronouncement of what he should or should not do.

Make sure it's like a Windows you have or something of the sort, I know that Macs don't reconize games well. The language will be in Japanese too, so here are the patches for translating them. Just have them installed in the same file/folder that your particular game is in and it ought to work. Your parents telling you not to play video / computer games while they themselves watch TV non-stop is a classic case of "Do what I say not what I do."
If they have good reasons for why playing too many games is bad for you (which there likely are several) then those reasons should also apply to watching too much TV. It sounds like your parents could stand to watch less TV and you could stand to play fewer games.

I own a Toshiba laptop with the Windows XP operating system.
Whenever I most computer games, such as The Sims 2 and Freestyle, it freezes up about 15 minutes into gameplay. A black screen apears and a repetative sound starts. I have to restart my computer by holding down the power button for 10 seconds.

Why are my computer games running so fast?
Whenever I play certain computer games, everything goes way faster than it should, like the cutscenes and gameplay go at like 3x speed, and whenever I move or do anything, I move way faster than I should. Why is it most of the time you have to yell at your kid to stop texting or playing these computer games, and if you block certain shows from them on the tv they always why,and tell my friends parents let them play as long as they want and watch what they want. Don't kids know that you as a parent always do things for their best interest. Tough sometimes being a single mom.Why are kids so preoccupied with computer games and texting more than wanting to do their home work?
Because they don't realize that those things have no real value.So they rather do what's cool and what they see their friends doing.Most of the time the kids don't realize their parents only want what's in their best interest.It's fine for them to want to do things that are enjoyable.
But it's always important to remember work comes before play.And doing homework so you can get good grades so you can eventually get a good job is what's truly important.That's why it's so important for parents to be there to remind them this and give discipline.

NO, kids do not know that what ever you're doing is for their best interest. Why? Because they're kids. You should have a set tv scedhule, meaning they get to watch 2 hours of tv/computer and then the rest of the time is used for homework and/or studying. How can I help stop my computer games from randomly shutting down?
My computer is a Windows XP and I have recently updated Norton Internet security. But I find I can't play any of my computer games for more than 10 minutes and my Internet randomly shuts down all the time as well. I've tried uninstalling all games I don't use to create more space, defragmenting my files, even turning off all my security while playing games and nothing is working. Alright there is a whole ton of games you can try out. If you are looking for a strategy/rpg game to get into I would recommend League of Legends. Although I like Dota more this game is free and has nice graphics. As for RPG's if you have a reasonably good computer I would give champions online, maplestory, and dragons nest a whirl. I like these because unlike WoW they are action based RPG's meaning for every attack or swing of the sword you actually have to press the button giving it much more of a "video game" feel. Champions also has things called "travel powers" allowing u to fly or run really fast along with a huge amount of customization. As for fps/3rdps I have found that combat arms was reasonably fun and so was xsteel. Xsteel is a mech game where movement using jets is a big part of the combat. And although I know you said you wanted free games I would really recommend a game such as minecraft or Terraria for someone with a lot of time on there hands.
