What are some easy computer games that my grandma could play?

My grandma is not very good with computers but she has played a computer game that she says is really fun. It's called Big City Adventures. I want to get her games that are fun and make her think but are not too complicated. Any suggestions?What are some easy computer games that my grandma could play?
Point %26amp; Click Adventures, Puzzle Games, Simulators (like Sims), turn-based strategy games (so she won't feel rushed), turn-based RPGs (for the same reason), and then the real-time equivalents of both (if she ends up getting bored of the turn stuff).

For someone of advanced years, games that allow an eternity to think and experiment are alright. Make sure it's a game that she can save absolutely anytime, too. It's disheartening for new gamers to go through a lot and then get shot down and have to do it over again.

On the flip side of the coin, there are plenty of elderly people that don't want to feel elderly, or simply don't feel elderly. Games that exhilarate or put them at a fast pace are just as good. But you have to remember that any game she plays better be a challenge for her brain. So stick to puzzlers, mystery adventure types, strategy games, or even RPGs.

My grandfather who is 63 and has had a stroke is simply OBSESSED with Divinie Divinity and Beyond Divinity. He still plays Might and Magic games, too. As well as the strategy version, Heroes of Might and Magic. He's especially into number 5.

Rise of Nations, Age of Wonders, Dawn of War, Medieval Total War, Rome Total War, Age of Mythology, Warlords / Warlords Battlecry series, Disciples series are all great strategy games to get them into. As far as RPGs, everything I mentioned for my grandpa, Wizardry 8, Dungeon Siege, Baldur's Gate... list goes on.

It's a bad idea to assume that the elderly can't handle "complicated" games. You'll bore the hell out of them. There have been cases of 60 or 70+ elderly men with dementia playing some of the strategy games I named above. I've seen and heard of them. Just experiment and see what she likes. There's infinite possibilities; it's the entertainment industry. Everyone is different. I suggest setting her up with random games and see what keeps her in the computer chair (just make sure they are good games, irrelevant of genre).

EDIT: the only games I would NEVER put in front of my grandparents are high-speed shooters, horror games (like Amnesia : The Dark Descent or Deadspace), and racing games.What are some easy computer games that my grandma could play?
Start her with a game that has been around for awhile like Sim City.



My 50 year old aunt LOVES The Sims. She started with simple The Sims, eventually getting getting every expansion for the game. When she started wanting more from the game then downloadable items, skins and things. I gave her Sims 2 and she is now hooked. Eventually when she gets board with that she can move to Sims 3 but she loves the game to much I think that she will ever wanna get anything elts.What are some easy computer games that my grandma could play?
I dunno... maybe Bejeweled or some other PopCap games? Maybe some of the Telltale adventure games like Sam %26amp; Max or Puzzle Agent, stuff that requires problem solving instead of twitch reflexes.
Get her COD. I think she would truly enjoy that.
