What computer games portray WWII and modern warships?

I have an idea to create a short machinima (a movie using edited CG environments and characters computer games) based on John Birmingham's "Axis of Time" series. It's about a modern day naval task force that gets accidentally sent back in time by a teleportation experiment gone wrong to WWII. When they arrive, their automated defense systems accidentally destroy the US naval fleet at Midway and then they alter the course of WWII.



I'm just wondering, what computer games portray WWII era, modern and futuristic warships?What computer games portray WWII and modern warships?
I would say Battlefield 1943 if they didn't cancel it but you can try getting BF2 and downloading a WW2 mod for it.
