How do you play HD computer games without spending more than 150$?

I bought 200 dollars worth of computer upgrade, but it turns out I need an extra 150 dollars to install these things (i.e. geek squad) How do you play the next generation games without hurting your dang wallet for your computer. How do you play HD computer games without spending more than 150$?
Mostly the games require three things: Lots of RAM (Random Access Memory, 2Gb is the bare minimum for games)

And a fast processor (a 2.7GHz Dual core will probably last you through many games)

Buying both of those probably will cost you more than $200 though, especially as there are many things you need to take into account (i.e. their speed).

The third thing is, a good video card. If you can afford it, buy a 1GB card and make sure it has digital output (not really necessary, but looks better when under visual pressure)

Using that "list" you can see what you already have and see what you need to upgrade, or not.

If you want a very powerful gaming system, I would suggest you sell your current computer and build a new one yourself, i.e. buying parts separately and putting them together, but that will cost you around a grand.

Installing your new hardware yourself isn't gonna be that hard, I've built my first computer at 16 with no help and no trouble. How do you play HD computer games without spending more than 150$?
Install it yourself or get a guide.

Geek Squad don't know squat.
