How to work the up/down arrows on computer while playing computer games?

When using the right, left, up, and down arrows during computer games, my screen goes up and down when using those arrows, thus, causing me to loose sight of the game I'm playing. How do you avoid this? Is there a way to freeze the screen so you can use the arrows in the up and down position without causing the screen itself to move up and down? Try clicking on the game itself and then pressing the directional keys and see if that stops it from moving. If it doesn't, then download and install another internet browser (If you are using Internet Explorer, download Firefox).

It might get fixed if you click on the little window-thing the game is in. If it still doesn't work, I am not sure why.
