I like playing computer games now and then, I am a big fan of the Sims but I feel I should play a game that also teach me something. I am studying economics and I'd like a game that will be fun and educational. Are there any computer games that deal with economics or business? Are there any computer games that deal with the economy?

Try EVE Online. It has a functioning virtual economy. You have to pay for a monthly subscription, but its economy is quite intricate.
You can also try Entropia Universe or Second Life. These offer free, basic account and these worlds have functioning economies as well.
Given the subscriber base, you could also try World of Warcraft. I'm not sure how intricate the economy is, since I've never played it, but for as large as it is, it may be worth checking out.
If you cannot afford to pay for a subscription to EVE or WoW, see if you have a friend who already has a subscription who will let you borrow his account. Are there any computer games that deal with the economy?
