RAM is the hard memory on the motherboard. What it means is that you have to have at least one gigabyte of RAM on the motherboard to play the game.

If you buy RAM, you have to know which kind will work and how much a single memory slot will take on your board.

Go to Crucial.Com, download their crucial memory advisor and run it and it will scan your computer and tell you what memory you have and what you could put or subtitute in there. You can even buy their memory on line or look up equivalent memory on other sites once you know what you have and how much you can install. The motherboard and number of slots will limit the amount and kind of memory you can use. Also, the operating system, 32 or 64 bit will limit you as well.

Generally, XP will not use more than 4 gigs of RAM since it is 32 bit, same for Vista or W7 versions of the operating system. XP had a 64 bit operating version but it was never used very much and had lots of problems. Vista is buggy, and RAM is especially a buggy issue on the 64 bit version (I believe Vista could access either 12 ot 16 Gigs for the 64 bit version if I remember correctly). Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit can access 8 gigs max, whilst the Professional and Ultimate versions can access up to 184 Gigs, but the motherboard will be your limiting factor.

You have to know whether you have 32 or 64 bit operating system. You can find out by running the System Icon in control panel. What does ram mean if i want to download computer games?
RAM cannot be used for storage, your hard drive is where your games are installed to.
The number of games you own and the amount of RAM isn't relevant. What is relevant is your hard drive since you'll need that space to install your games.

However games have RAM requirements -- RAM is what your computer uses to keep programs running; it acts as a very fast but temporary working space for programs.
Windows requires RAM, so does your web browser and all your other programs. The more you have, the more "working space" your computer has and the smoother it will run.

If the game demands 1GB of RAM and you have 2GB, then you're good to go. But if a game demands more, you will need to upgrade your computer with more RAM for better performance. What does ram mean if i want to download computer games?
for games following applicable

1. Minimum 64 MB ram video card

2. minimum 100 GB Hard disk (depend on game size)

3. Ram atleast 1 to 2 GB , at the time you can run only one game .
Yes 2 gb ram is ok... Yes it would be enough for all these games

Ram means ..Random access memory which controls speed of computer and other stuff
