Is it possible to play computer games on a playstation 3?

I know that it has full internet basically, i was wondering if you could install computer games whether through the internet or directly from a disk?Is it possible to play computer games on a playstation 3?
Yes they can but however you would have to learn on how to mod it, and in that case you better know what you need to do as you can do the same, with xbox games on a Playstation, any system, but you would need parts, and know your doing.... And by doing this there is two ways to do this, one get some the correct parts and it depends on what type and year ur PS3 is and how much gigs but, you would have to open it up and then put the pieces in a certain way, to trick the PS3 thats it is a PS3 game..... or you can get a certain type of processor and the same thing, and disk trive and then combine them, and then you would have to have a USB drive, and connect it and then put ur, disk in the modded thing, dnt know what to call it, but thats how you would have to do it..... if you would want to, but it would take time, and about $160-$230 extra money unless you can find old parts from different computers old or new ones that people are going to throw out and take them and make sure their usable and create it.....Is it possible to play computer games on a playstation 3?
no they arent compatible



ps3 only play ps3 disks unless you have an older backwards compatible ps3 that will play ps2 and ps1 games
