How to prevent computer games on my laptop.?

Does anyone know if there is a way to prevent my computer from being used for games? I've already deleted the Windows games, but would like to prevent downloadable games from being played ie from sites like Treefrog.

THE SIMPLIEST WAY:

When you boot up the computer and see the Windows logo, is there a welcome screen with users' icons followed by the users' names, or does it just go to the desktop on its own? If it's the latter then you need to create accounts for the users, including you.

Go to START, CONTROL PANEL and then double click USER ACCOUNTS. Here, do you see an account already that says COMPUTER ADMINISTRATOR ?

If yes then click onto it. On the following screen that says WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE ABOUT YOUR ACCOUNT?, click CHANGE MY PASSWORD, and then go ahead a create a password to which YOU only know.

If not then click CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. Type in a name (your name) for that account and then click NEXT. On the following screen where it says ACCOUNT TYPE, click COMPUTER ADMINISTRATOR and then click CREATE ACCOUNT. You will be back to the screen that says PICK A TASK.... OR PICK AN ACCOUNT TO CHANGE. Click onto your account and then on the following screen, click CREATE A PASSWORD. Make up a password which YOU only know.

Go back to the PICK A TASK.... OR PICK AN ACCOUNT TO CHANGE. Go create another account but this time for ACCOUNT TYPE, click LIMITED. This will be the account to which the person whom you don't want downloading games, will use!! No need to create password for this one.

All LIMITED ACCOUNTS will have no ability to downloading anything. In other words, they are LIMITED.

Good luck.
Easy. Prevent who has access to your computer. Problem solved. How to prevent computer games on my laptop.?
set one administration account at control panel and then the other for secondary
in short: not that I know of.

if you're really desperate you can disable internet, cd/floppy drives, and the usb connections to make sure no files are ever transferred to the laptop, but that sort of limits the usefullness of the laptop. How to prevent computer games on my laptop.?
One way to do this is to go to your Internet Settings and go to Content Advisor.

Then, look through that. There is a place where you can make a list of ALLOWED websites. After you make this list, these will be the only websites that anyone will be able to go to unless they have the content advisor password.

Of course, this greatly limits the usability of your computer. And, if you forget your password, you have to reformat your harddrive in order to reset the password (I think that's what you'd have to do anyway).

If you add www.yahoo.com, to the list for example, you would be able to still go to mail.yahoo.com, my.yahoo.com, answers.yahoo.com, etc., I think anyway.

You can also make a list of BLOCKED websites. But, you would have to block alot of sites (yahoo games, msn games, and the list goes on and on).
One way would be to make one account for yourself with administrator priveleges, and protect it with a password. Create another account for whoever else might use it, but only give them normal access. They won't be able to install any games through conventional means--but some games can be downloaded and played immediately, without an install.

You could prevent your users from downloading executable files. I have found that, if using Internet Explorer, this can be done with a utility named FolderGuard. It is not free, but there is a 30-day trial period available. I have included a link to an article on the makers of this software that explains how to limit downloads of certain file types (such as executables/games.) There is also a download link on the right-hand menu of this page.
